Let’s face it: most people get into sales jobs for the money. Many sales professionals come from customer service backgrounds where they may have worked for hourly wages as low as $7. By contrast, some sales jobs pay $120 an hour or more. If you’re looking for a rewarding, high-paying career, here are a few six-figure sales jobs to consider:

DIGITAL MEDIA SALES JOBS
Digital media includes online banner ads, tool bar buttons, search engine optimization, social media ads, pay-per-click, and paid search. Businesses that focus their efforts online generally have more money to spend. Mobile marketing is a big area of interest that a lot of businesses are looking to get into as well. Base salary for these sales jobs ranges from $170,000 to $180,000, with commissions that pay up to $220,000.

TELECOMMUNICATIONS SALES JOBS
Selling telecommunications products like network or security services is increasingly important for any business today and it can really pay off, with base salaries from $70,000 to $100,000 and commissions up to $200,000. Most people start off working for smaller telecomm companies like cell phone carriers or cable services. If they’re aggressive and polished enough, they can quickly move up the ladder to corporate sales jobs.

CONSUMER PACKAGED GOODS SALES JOBS
Consumer package goods may include toys, beverages, or any products sold in grocery stores. You’ll need your MBA to get into this lucrative field and you’ll need a strong background in marketing / brand management. You essentially sell the business, not just the product, to get the brand out to a national audience. Base salary starts at $150,000 to $180,000 with commissions in the $100,000 to $150,000 range.
