Resumes are the gateways for interviews. And once you are called for an interview, burden is on you. The burden is to prove to the employer that you are the best person for their job and you have the required skills to achieve the company’s mission. Giving an effective interview can make sure that you impress the employer and leave an impact on him. Before you appear for interviews, you must know what types of interviews there are and how you should conduct yourself in each of the different types.

One type of interview is traditional job interview. In this type, employer sits across the table and asks you questions. The reason behind the particular questions is to know whether you are the right person for the job or not. Normally the set of questions asked are very general and mostly common for many organizations. Some of the familiar questions are; what are you strengths and weaknesses? Why do you want this job? You may want to read up on possible interview questions through research on the internet or asking your friends. The more you know, the easier it will be for you to answer.

The other type of interview is job team interview. In this type, employers sit in a panel particularly belonging from the department for which you are applying. The panel can ask you different questions including both structured and unstructured questions. Structured questions are some common questions discussed above and the latter types of questions are derived there and then from the answers that you give. You must take great care that you answer honestly and be straightforward. However, honesty does not mean that you reveal your weaknesses that can be unpleasant for the employers. Stress interviews are another type of interview technique. In this method, interviewer throws you with questions giving you less time to think. In this sort, they analyze your stress skill and see that how well you can can handle the stress. These interviews are typically conducted for tougher job descriptions such as army or police.

You must be well prepared for an interview before you go. Remember to be honest and answer the questions in a to-the-point manner. Try to avoid giving vague answers and indecent ones. The most useful tip is to conduct mock interviews so that you do not feel stressed out while giving the actual interview. A final note, come well dressed so that you gain confidence from your appearance as well.
