If you’re a highly motivated “people person,” you have the opportunity to make big bucks in this line of work.

What Interests You?

To work in sales management jobs, you should have an interest in marketing, advertising, communication, psychology and public relations. You shouldn’t be adverse to working long hours or traveling extensively. You should be the type of person who thrives off competition, creativity and productivity. Your computer, math and communication skills should be strong as well.

Sales management jobs can be found in all types of industry. You may be the public face of the company if you work in advertising, marketing or PR. You may work for a nonprofit firm to promote your group’s activities. You may work for a small firm where you put on many hats or you may work for a larger firm where you specialize in a particular niche.  There are marketing sales managers, advertising sales managers and public relations sales managers that work in-house or field sales managers who work out of the office in an assigned territory.
