No, WYSIWYG is not a hairpiece with a bladder problem. It is the acronym of
“What you see is what you get.” Bitten nostalgia will be pleasantly or unpleasantly Flip Wilson recalls in drag as “geraldine” parade on declaring, “what you see is what you get! Later, he referred to was what you saw on your computer screen to get what you were going. What happens when you don’t like what you see or what you get? Simple: to seek elsewhere and something else.
There is a small formula, I would like to share with job seekers. It is called E + R = E o stands for event, R means response and o means for the result. Basically, an event arise in your life. You respond to the event and meet you a result. If you don’t like the result, what part of the equation can change? This is true – response. You may not, although many people try to change the event. All that you can adjust is the answer.
Example – a large organization, so that you work is laid-off (event), deny you what is happening and go on your life as usual (response), and during the last day comes you’re not prepared for you job search or the lifestyle of the unemployed (result). If you return to the event, could change the fact that the employer was laid off to you? If the answer is “Yes”, then you can chose a different answer and more probably enjoyed a better result. But because there is generally not you could do about it, you could have chosen a more proactive response and had a very different result.
Intelligent people have recognized that the impending layoff would mean there would be changes in their lives. A better answer would have been to update their resumes and cover letters, other research opportunities and to obtain their networks tuned up and ready to use. In this way, they could have adapted their budget to allow at any time between the payroll cheques or possibly find another job before their history.
The events of our lives are usually neutral. I mean by that is neither positive nor negative. Give one person the same event, and they are devastated. For another, it becomes a great opportunity. Some people have said that was taken was the best thing which their never arrived. If you don’t like the result of your job search for the moment, then perhaps it is time to look again and see where you can adjust your response. What might do you differently that you would get better results? A better way to look at is: what I see is based on what search.
